Ladies Who Lunch: Son Jung Wan Spring/Summer 2019

Although I have semi-retired from fashion reporting, Son Jung Wan’s collection is the one that I never miss.  Son Jung Wan’s collection always excites me and draws me back season after season.

For Spring/Summer 2019, Son Jung Wan created a collection which she called “Dramatic Moves”.  The inspiration led her to create a collection with a focus on glamour and exaggerated silhouettes.

Although Son Jung Wan drew primarily upon influences from the 1970’s and 80’s, she also referenced 40’s and 60’s style to create glamorous and romantic looks.  Even though Son Jung Wan was inspired by past eras, she took those influences and molded them into a completely contemporary collection.

A bold and vibrant collection, Son Jung Wan Spring/Summer 2019 reinforced why I keep coming back each season to marvel at her artistry.

Ladies Who Lunch: Son Jung Wan Fall 2018!

Every Fashion Week, Son Jung Wan’s show is the one show that I never miss.  The combination of fabrics, colors, creative drape, and intricate construction make Son Jung Wan’s collections a true artistic experience!

For Fall 2018, Son Jung Wan took her inspiration from the 80’s, using that era’s design energy to create a Maximalist collection.  Son Jung Wan’s collection incorporates strong colors and bold silhouettes to capture the feeling of the 80’s.

Son Jung Wan’s Fall 2018 Collection is truly a visual delight and once again keeps this fan completely captivated with her artistry.

Son Jung Wan Spring/Summer 2018

Designer Son Jung Wan always produces a collection that has me mesmerized.  Son Jung Wan is an artist who expresses her artistry through fashion, with each piece being a true work of art.

For Spring/Summer 2018, Son Jung Wan took her inspiration from the French Riviera.  Chic silhouettes in colors inspired by the Mediterranean beaches evoke the sexy glamorous lifestyle of the French Riviera.

Son Jung Wan’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection once again shows why she is one of the leaders in her field and why we keep coming back for more!

Negris LeBrum Fall/Winter 2017

I know that I missed the mark by not posting this during the Fall/Winter Season, but as busy as I have been, I didn’t want this one to not get seen.  Travis Hamilton’s Negris LeBrum Collection is one to take note of.

Inspired by a 1940’s love story between a French Creole woman and a black man who fought against societal pressures that would keep them apart, designer Travis Hamilton created Negris Lebrum.

Based in Houston, Texas, Travis Hamilton has presented his Negris Lebrum collection at New York Fashion Week for several seasons.

Travis Hamilton designs his collections for a modern woman with attitude and strength.

After following Travis Hamilton’s Negris Lebrum for a few years, we have seen him evolve with each collection and look forward to more from this talented designer. Please also check out his most recent collection on his site!

Ladies Who Lunch: Erin Fetherston Fall/Winter 2017

Designer Erin Fetherston is known for her signature feminine collections.  And for Fall/Winter 2017 Erin Fetherston's collection maintained its beautiful feminine appeal, while also creating a free-spirited bohemian vibe.

Drawing on global influences, Erin Fetherson’s collection pulls references from France, Spain and Morocco.  Fringe, narrow scarves, and Moroccan babouches slippers mix together for a look that is very exotic.

As with other collections this season, there is a message behind the collection.  Erin Fetherston explained, “I also feel like it’s a nice message to remind the world that we’re global citizens and that is something to be treasured, protected, and defended.” And that message is as precious as her Fall/Winter Collection.
