Ladies Who Lunch: Charlotte Ronson Fall 2015!

Designer Charlotte Ronson catapulted into the public consciousness mostly due to her famous family and connections to celebrities and socialites.  But behind all the buzz lies a a talented designer who solidly knows her craft.

In addition to her signature line, Charlotte Ronson also creates a collection for JC Penney making her coveted designs accessible to a much wider audience.  And Charlotte Ronson has proven that she can successfully tackle both spectrums of the market.

Charlotte Ronson’s signature collection has long been a fave of celebrities, models and socialites with collections that are a balance of femininity, playfulness and sophistication.  I also love her attention to the cut and details of each garment.

Charlotte Ronson’s Fall 2015 collection was inspired by a mix of nature and 60’s sportswear, creating a collection with beautiful Fall earth tones and clean silhouetttes.  A well thought out collection, it will surely appeal to her current fan base and bring in new fans as well.

Ladies Who Lunch: Malan Breton Fall 2015!

Although Malan Breton is based in New York, his collections have an international appeal to them.  A native of Taiwan who has lived and worked across the globe, Malan Breton brings all of those cultural experiences together to create collections that are both sophisticated and luxurious.

Drawing on his Taiwanese heritage, Malan Breton utilizes traditional Taiwanese fabrics giving his collections a personalized and recognizable touch.  I am also a fan of Malan’s collections for his beautiful use of color.

Malan Breton creates collections for both men and women that have stand-out looks that are sure to get you noticed.  Want to look like a member of the international jet set? Malan Breton’s collections fit the bill.

A major fan of Malan Breton from the very first collection I saw, the Fall 2015 Collection is as brilliant as all that have preceded them and has me continue to dream and lust after his designs.

Ladies Who Lunch: Zang Toi Fall 2015!

Designer Zang Toi’s collections are all about luxury and beauty.  Season after season, I am mesmerized by his couture collections that exude a mixture of beauty, style, elegance and sophistication.

For Zang Toi’s Fall 2015 collection, he took his inspiration from a winter visit to Venice.  As always, Zang Toi captured the essence of Venice using his inspiration to shape the look and mood of the collection without being literal and costumey.

Primarily using earth tones that reflect the cityscape of Venice during winter, the collection is a lush melange of greys, blacks and taupes with a finale splash of bronze metallic.  As  usual, Zang Toi crteated the collection using the finest in luxe fabrics from Loro Piana wools to silk satin.

Having just celebrated his 25th Anniversary in the industry, Zang Toi Fall 2015 delivered an awesome collection that shows this master designer has at the very least another 25 years to continue to wow us!

Ladies Who Lunch: Son Jung Wan Fall 2015!

Korean designer Son Jung Wan has one of the shows that I most look forward to each season.  Son Jung Wan always intrigues me with creative construction and drapes, and interesting fabrics and colors.

For Fall 2015, Son Jung Wan drew her inspiration from the 1950’s MGM films and the fashion pho tographs of Gordon Parks, resulting in a collection that is all about glamour and romance.

The important fabrics in the collection are meri no wool, knits, leather, fur and the introduction of metallics that emphasized the inspiration of the collection.

Son Jung Wan’s color palette for the season is a perfect mix of autumnal fuschias, oranges, greens, golds, silvers and earth tones.

Son Jung Wan’s Fall 2015 Collection showed off the designer’s amazing talent with a collection that is as exciting as it is elegant and stylish.

Ladies Who Lunch: Vivienne Tam Fall 2015!

As we have noted in previous seasons, New York designer Vivienne Tam is the master of merging Eastern and Western aesthetics.  And for Fall 2015, she did just that once again for one of her most stunning collections to date.

Vivienne Tam drew her inspiration for the Fall 2015 Collection from chinoiserie, a style that was created from how Europeans imagined China in the 17th Century.  Vivienne Tam took the feeling and elements from this period and reinvented it in a modern way.

Vivienne Tam also drew inspiration from romanticism, resulting in silhouettes that are very feminine.  Ruffled necklines, soft draped blouses and flowey dresses and gowns emphasized this direction in the collection.

With gorgeous prints, beautiful embellishments and interesting fabrics, Vivienne Tam has created a Fall 2015 Collection that once again shows she is a fashion leader.
