Good news for JFK travelers going through or as a a final destination, Delta Air Lines will be opening a new state-of-the-art terminal on May 24th. Delta poured 1.4 billion into creating the new high tech terminal, supplying all of the things that modern travelers need today: lots of electrical outlets for charging our devices, USB ports, free WiFi, luxury lounges and foods for the discerning palate.
In preparation for the launch of Terminal 4, Delta created a pop-up space in Soho at 376 West Broadway. The T4X space replicates the experience of the new terminal, complete with a baggage claim with boxed lunches, a club lounge where you can unwind and plug in and even a vending machine where you can purchase fun items!
Charming flight attendant Lisa Cohen, who flies the JFK/LAX route was on hand to demonstrate the vending machine and to talk to us about the new Terminal 4 and everything it had to offer. Since I do the East Coast/West Coast trip regularly, Ms. Cohen is an excellent spokes person for Delta, convincing me to perhaps change my ways and fly into JFK in my future travels.
Accompanied by Mariana Leung of MsFABulous.com, I attended an event at T4X hosted by Single Edition Media. Founded and run by Sheri Langburt, Single Edition Media reaches out to Singles and aligns them with companies that would be of interest to them. With the single population in the US being a major purchasing force, businesses are very interested in tapping their market and Single Edition Media helps them to do that!
For this event, Elizabeth Arden, Completely Bare hair removal specialists, Foot Petals, Blue Print juices, Glo teeth whitening system and fashion great Nanette Lepore set up stations to give information about their products. Tying in how their products were important to travelers and to the single market, each company gave presentations that gave brand awareness and even enticed me into wanting to try their products. Over the next few weeks, I will post about each of these companies to let you into their worlds as well!
In the mean time, if you can make it down to Soho, pop in to the Delta T4X Terminal and experience what 21st Century travel should be all about!
