Ladies Who Lunch: ALYSON EASTMAN Fall 2014!

Although designer Alyson Eastman grew up in Oregon, her passion for Fashion Design took her on a journey far away from her hometown.

Alyson Eastman began her design studies at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, but she continued her studies at Mod’art in Paris, where she found the inspiration to fuel her creativity.

For Fall 2014, Alyson Eastman channeled her love of Paris and its lifestyle into a collection that breathes the heart and soul of that city.

Based in and producing her line in New York, Alyson Eastman blends her love of Paris with a New York sensibility, for a collection that is worth keeping an eye on!

Ladies Who Lunch: KAS New York Fall 2014!

Born and raised in New York with a cultural heritage in India, designer Kirat Anand grew up with a passion for fashion.  But before following that passion, Kirat took another route.

Kirat attended NYU and worked in finance before finally following his heart and pursuing a career in fashion.  In 2006, Kirat teamed up with his mother, designer Sabby Anand, and founded KAS New York.

Combining bohemian designs with an urban sophistication, KAS New York bridges Kirat’s New York sensibility with the rich culture of his Indian Heritage.

As a nod to this merging of cultures, Kirat Anand presented his KAS New York Fall 2014 Collection at the Indian Consulate on New York’s Upper East Side.  We spoke to the Kirat Anand at the presentation to find out more about this fascinating collection!

Ladies Who Lunch: Sergio Davila Fall 2014!

Designer Sergio Davila always bridges the continents of North and South America together with his sophisticated collections of sportswear.

Davila has adopted New York as his second home, but being from Peru, the influences of his native land are evident in all of his collections.  Utilizing the fabrics and cultural influences of his homeland, he blends them together with a New York sensibility for a collection that is truly international.

For Sergio Davila Fall 2014, this merging of cultures is very evident.  And while he chose to primarily showcase his menswear collection, a few pieces from his women’s collection were added in as well, showing once again the diversity and complexity of Sergio Davila as a designer.
