Ladies Who Lunch: Elene Cassis Fall 2011!

A new discovery for me during Fashion Week last February, I must say that I was very impressed with Elene Cassis’ Fall 2011 collection. A graduate of Parson’s School of Design, Elene Cassis started her label in 2009.

Elene Cassis presented a line of sportswear and dresses that was all about interesting seaming and the melange of fabrics, textures and colors. The sophisticated collection managed to be completely modern while at the same time evoking a feel for a 1960’s femininity.
As her Fall 2011 Collection hits the stores, we spoke with Elene Cassis about her background and what inspired the Fall collection.

Ladies Who Lunch: Bonnie Young Fall 2011!

To be honest, when I went to meet designer Bonnie Young, I had no idea what a diverse and creative woman I would encounter. Although I love children’s apparel, aside from a few brand names like Jacadi, I really have not learned a lot about children’s wear designers.

With a career as a Women’s Wear designer that spans many years, including 16 years as the Creative Director at Donna Karan, Bonnie Young has taken that knowledge and creativity and poured it into her Children’s line.

Bonnie Young’s line is filled with fantasy, beauty and a sense of drama that makes it a very unique collection. Each garment in the collection is a little piece of art and will be appreciated by any fashionista no matter how young or old.

Watch our interview with Bonnie Young and get caught up in her creative world, a world that makes this collection so irresistible!
