Ladies Who Lunch: Son Jung Wan Spring 2017!

It is no wonder that Son Jung Wan is one of the biggest designers in Korea.  Son Jung Wan always utilizes creative drapes and construction to create interesting and flattering silhouettes combined with innovative fabrics.

Son Jung Wan also shows her artistry in her collections, taking her inspirations from the art world, nature and even historical fashion periods.  For her Spring 2017 Collection, Son Jung Wan takes us back to the 70’s with a fun take on the disco era.

Bright colors, bold patterns, and stripes bring this collection to life.  Son Jung Wan’s vision of the 70’s combines glamour with a playfulness that makes this collection irresistible!

Son Jung Wan closed the show with 70’s Supermodel Pat Cleveland who danced down the runway and reminded us all what a true Supermodel is at any age!  And Son Jung Wan showed us once again that she is a true master of her craft!

Ladies Who Lunch: Francesca Liberatore Spring 2017!

Italian designer Francesca Liberatore is quickly becoming one of my favorite European designers.  I covered her first U.S. show and was totally hooked by her design sense.

Francesca Liberatore designs using strong inspirations which she stays true to, leading to powerful collections.  Francesca Liberatore combines innovative drapes with luxurious fabrics and embellishments that have a definite European spirit to them that translates to a global appeal.

The theme of the Francesca Liberatore Spring 2017 Collection is freedom and change and she represented this with liberating shapes and light fabrics, and a mix of shapes that show the change that women go through every day.  This Spring 2017 Collection also showed freedom in the use of a bright and vibrant color palette.

Presenting a truly beautiful Spring 2017 Collection, Francesca Liberatore confirmed that she is a talent to be reckoned with not only in Europe, but internationally.
